I Have More Questions
-
During the initial intake call, I start by asking which state you live in, your insurance provider, and your main reasons for seeking an evaluation. This helps me figure out whether I can support you directly or if it makes more sense to help connect you with a trusted referral.
-
Insurance and Evaluation Costs
All evaluations I offer—whether focused on autism, ADHD, or both—are comprehensive, trauma-informed, and culturally responsive. I carefully assess for conditions that may both apply (rule-in) and not apply (rule-out), to ensure you receive an accurate and affirming understanding of your neurodevelopmental profile.
If I am not in-network with your insurance, I offer transparent, out-of-pocket pricing:
Comprehensive Autism/ADHD Evaluation (includes all appointments and a full written report): $800
Autism-Focused Evaluation (appointments and full report): $600
ADHD-Focused Evaluation (appointments and full report): $400
If paying out of pocket isn’t the right fit for you, I can provide referral options and will support you in finding a provider who meets your needs.
If I am in-network with your insurance, I will:
Verify your coverage before we schedule any appointments
Let you know about any co-payments, along with the administrative fee and payment plan options for the full written report
Administrative fees for written reports (when using insurance):
$300 for ADHD-focused evaluations
$500 for Autism or combined Autism/ADHD evaluations
If you choose not to receive a full written report, I will provide a summary letter outlining clinical findings (if any) at no additional cost.
-
All evaluations I provide are grounded in a therapeutic assessment model, which combines structured diagnostic tools with collaborative, emotionally attuned conversations. This approach is trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and inclusive of co-occurring diagnoses—honoring the complexity of each individual’s experiences and identity.
Each evaluation concludes with a review session (up to 30 minutes) where we discuss findings together, go over recommendations, and talk through next steps in a supportive, accessible way.
Evaluation Formats:
ADHD Evaluation – 3 appointments total
Two 45-minute sessions
One review session (up to 30 minutes)
Autism Evaluation – 4 appointments total
Three 60-minute sessions
One review session (up to 30 minutes)
Combined Autism & ADHD Evaluation – 5 appointments total
Four 60-minute sessions
One review session (up to 30 minutes)
In some cases—particularly when there is a history of complex trauma or intersecting concerns—an additional session may be recommended to ensure the evaluation process remains safe, thorough, and aligned with your needs.
-
The evaluation begins with a first session that includes a thorough psychosocial history, initial screenings, and the start of the therapeutic assessment process. This session also offers space for reflection, psychoeducation, and support—grounding the experience in collaboration and care.
After the first appointment, you’ll receive a set of additional questionnaires to complete. One of these is also sent to a well-known adult (such as a partner, close friend, or family member) who can offer insight into your day-to-day functioning. You’ll also be asked to share information about your early development and any school or community-based services you may have received in childhood.
Subsequent sessions build on this foundation, continuing the assessment process while deepening our shared understanding. Together, we co-construct meaning in a way that is accessible, respectful, and affirming of your lived experience.
The process concludes with a 30-minute review session, where we explore the findings, discuss clinical impressions, process any feelings that arise, and collaboratively identify supportive next steps.
-
Following the review appointment, you’ll receive an initial summary of clinical findings, typically emailed during the same week. This summary includes:
Your psychosocial history
Screening data and any diagnostic impressions (if applicable)
Personalized recommendations and relevant resources
A more detailed comprehensive final report is completed within 8 to 12 weeks of the review session. This report includes:
An integrated clinical formulation
Clear diagnostic justification (if applicable)
Thoughtful, individualized recommendations
If you need documentation sooner—for accommodations at school or work, for a prescriber, or for testing accommodations—please let me know during our intake call so we can adjust timelines to meet your needs.
For those pursuing government programs such as Social Security Disability (SSD), Supplemental Security Income (SSI), or state-funded developmental disability services (like OPWDD in NY, APD in FL, or DDS in NJ), please note:
While my report may be accepted for informational or supplemental purposes, these entities typically require documentation from a licensed psychologist or other qualifying professional. In these cases, I either collaborate with or refer to providers whose reports meet those requirements.
If you choose not to receive a full comprehensive report, I will provide a condensed letter that outlines any diagnoses (if applicable) and offers brief recommendations—at no additional cost. This option, along with its limitations, will be clearly discussed during the consultation call.
Throughout the evaluation process, I encourage open communication. You’re always welcome to:
Email or text with questions, clarifications, or feedback
Keep a running Word document to share reflections, additional information, or insights between sessions
My goal is to make this process collaborative, supportive, and responsive to your individual needs.
